Many company's buy products from a manufacturer and put their own brand on it for resale. The mask your talking about I have under the Ocean Master name. I think this is the case here. Check into wet suits and you'll see a lot of suits come out of one factory. Then there are companies that will own a company under a different name IE. Sherwood-Genesis, Oceanic-Aeries, etc. Compare this mask to the Tabatha visulator.
If you like it buy it. Don't get hooked on a brand name as equipment goes, just that they supply a good product to the end user us. Brand loyalty.

it sounds like you need to get out and go diving. I can reccomend a great trip in July we are going on a liveaboard if you want to go? Think you might be able to make it?

Anyone got a regulator he can borrow?

I think this deal with the OceanMaster masks is a little different. If I understand it correctly, the original Ocean Master mask and snorkel molds have now been permanently altered to remove the Ocean Master marks and now will have the XS Scuba M-Line name in them. It looks like to me that Ocean Master is out of the mask business, except maybe for some existing inventory they may have. I think XS Scuba has signed an exclusive deal with the patent holder. Of course, I could be wrong.

I probably used the incorrect terminology. The bags are the wheeled backpack bags (BG327). http://www.xsscuba.com/wh_mesh_bp.html

The bags are versatile but the design of the handle results in the use having to stoop somewhat to roll the bag along.

My wife and I are not very tall (5' 6"). Has XS Scuba come up with some type of handle attachment to avoid the need to stoop somewhat to roll a bag that is completely full?

The backpack feature allows you too carry the bag on your back over rough terrain where rolling it is impractical.

The only problem I have with it is the one I mentioned above.

Do you have any suggestions?

I am sorry for my delay, I have been working day and night to complete a new acquisition for XS Scuba (you'll see a new announcement early in March). I understand the problem and will build an extension for the handle to improve the bag. I'm sorry, I have nothing right now. Once, I have a few prototypes made I'll send you a PM and let you them test out.

I don't want to change the original concept of this bag (actually bags; both the BG327 and BG150 bags are of the same concept). The idea with these bags is they can be folded compact enough to be carried in a "dive luggage" bag. The design is to be the best possible bag to haul you gear from the hotel / dive locker to boat.

We do have other models of bags (BG110, BG120, BG140) that are "dive luggage" designed to wheel all your stuff from home, through an airport and to your final destination. These bags have an internal frame, extension pull handle, standing leg (so the bag can stand upright on the end).

The guys in Thailand jumped on my request for the new sample. Attached are a couple of images. This one is blue with a clear silicone skirt, they're making up a black silicone sample also. I'll have them sooner then I expected and will send you a PM when I have them available for you to test out.

Good idea. I was just on Skype with the guys in Thailand. So, I have them making up a sample of the new MA215 Fusion Low Volume Purge Mask with the Gauge Reader positive diopters lenses added. All black with black silicone skirt. Send me a PM is about 60 days I should have the sample by then. You can be the first to test dive it (after me). I appreciate the good words for XS Scuba.

The last experiment with contact lenses didn't work out, but I told my eye doctor about our discourse and we've agreed to try going back to contact lenses for distance only, then readers for close-up work (when I'm not wearing my progressive lens glasses). This helps me a lot above water, especially when I'm outside and it's sunny (like vacation!), as Transitions lenses don't really get dark enough for me, especially when driving and I can see the motor vehicle instrument cluster fine without close-up correction.

We fly out Curacao bound (eventually) on an early morning 'red-eye' on March 18 from New Orleans (through Houston to Aruba on CO FF miles, then DAE to Curacao). If it's available for me to take by then, I'll pass along the un-wet-yet black silicone Fusion purge mask I bought a few weeks back to a needy diver I know who's struggling to make ends meet.

Early on I became a big fan of the black silicone skirts vs. clear. If someone else would like to try the blue frame clear silicone model for a test drive please offer it to them. A wider cross section sample group for testing - improves data set robustness (is robustness a word? long week).

Been working day & night myself, just got home. I'll stay posted for your news on your next acquisition. I noticed dive computers are about the only major scuba item not in your new catalog - is it something along those lines?
