XD , does Size make a difference in speed?

I'm trying to decide between a 512 xd (H) or a 1gig for a sp350- I know everyone will say 1gig, but does the SIZE of the card make a difference in the speed? I know when I had my old stylus 300 and used a 512 it was A LOT slower than with a 128, but I dont remember if they were the same type ( I think this was pre-M).
 
You should check how fast the camera will write to the card. That is usually the limiting factor.

From my experience , i have both the 128, 500 and 1 gig (H)cards and have not found any difference in the speed. But have noticed the speed changes depending on what format and size pic u are shooting.

Write speed is a factor of the card, H or M type and the size of images being captured. RAW files on my SP-350, with an xd 1Gb H card, take nearly 9 seconds to load. The card will hold around 90 RAW images. If you don't save a jpeg image with the RAW image you get to wait the same amount of time before you can review an image.
