I'll update this first post as a running synopsis of this thread.

When: Saturday, March 11th
Where: Avalon Underwater Dive Park at Casino Point, Catalina Island

What is the Wrinkles Dive?

This is a monthly gathering of all divers and non-divers in SoCal who can make it. It's a lot of fun involving diving, eating, socializing and sometimes even camping!

It all started when our SoCal member, Wrinkles, mentioned to a group that she dove with that it would be really fun to be able to get together at least once a month. Pasley, took off with the idea and announced the first "Wrinkles Dive". The rest is history!

It's open to everyone of all skill levels from "I'm not certified yet" to "Do we really have to dive the Andrea Doria again?"

We've found this to be a great way to meet our fellow divers locally and many new dive buddies have been found though these "dive soirees".

RSVP:

I've started a ScubaBoard Calendar event for you to RSVP here:

http://www.scubaboard.com/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=679&day=2006-3-11&c=32
(you can now rsvp and include your guest count!)

Please sign up on the Calendar. This will help us get an idea of how many people will be there so that we can set aside a space by the Casino that is big enough for all of us to hang out together.

Please update your party size on the calendar with changes.

It is a little tough for me to guess exactly what my work schedule will be that far out into the future, but it looks like I will be able to make it. :)

Well, this is one Wrinkles Dive I certainly plan on attending (unless something unforeseen occurs). Heck I might even throw a little party up at the house afterwards for those who stick around.

Jake and I should be there. I was supposed to be in Chicago that weekend, but plans just changed last night.

YIPPIE.

See you all in Avalon!

Sinuses and weather permitting, I plan on coming. Now, where is that pesky drysuit inflator hose...?

What about Kev?

I'm there. Staying Friday and Saturday at the Hermosa.

It goings to be a blast.

I'm all booked for the weekend as well. Yay!

I just got my reservation for Friday and Saturday nights at the Hermosa.

As always, the weekend in Catalina will rock!

For those of you that are unfamiliar with the Wrinkles Dive to Catalina, the Wrinkles Dive is officially on Saturday and you do not have to spend the night. Many people don't. They just jump on the first boat out and the last boat back. Some of us just like to take advantage of the $35 per night rate and spend the whole weekend there.

I just like to clarify this for those who are looking at all of this for the first time.

Christian

I got just reservations for Friday and Saturday for Tevis and I as well.

Its going to be another great wrinkles weekend

Hi all,

Unfortunately, I just realized that I'm scheduled for a conference in L.A. from March 10 - 12. So...I won't be at the March Wrinkles dive. I am so bummed out! :crying2:

I'm going to have to see you at the April dive. Too bad, too, because it is starting to sound like a great time, and I wanted to dive Catalina again.

*sigh* Ah well...somehow the earth keeps on turning.

Doug
