wrinkles:
Jan I would love to do two dives. I can't wait to meet you. You seem like a fun person from your posts.

I dont think the location is picked yet Arnaud. Guess what Arnaud I got new dive gear

Ana

Hi Ana,

I am not going to be able to make it Sunday. I got a reverse block yesterday, and doc says for me to stay out of the water for at least three days. Bummer....I wanted to meet all of you!

I will be doing Chamber Day aboard the Encore though, I know some folks from here will be there, will you???

Anytime you want to dive, you can email me, for I dive quite regularily in and around Laguna. Am thinking of going to Casino Point on the 15th of May, what do you say?

Take care,

Jan

Debbie,

I hit #94. If it wasn't for my reverse block, I could have hit #100 this weekend, but...in a way, I'm glad that I didn't, for I want all of my dive buddies to be diving with me for that 'special dive.' LOL

Seal Rock, Deadmans, and Pinnacle was pretty good yesterday. No surf, no red tide, some swell. viz was about 10-15' easy. Still didn't find my fin. :o( Looks like I am going to hand over some cash in the next week or so.

Hugs,

Jan

Hey Ana, sorry I couldn't join the group. Too many trips to the mainland recently (and another in the, ugh, works). Hope your conditions were better than those at Casino Point. Effective vis was 12 ft and temp dropped to 55 degrees at only 50 ft.

We had a great time Dr. Bill. It was fantastic conditions on the first dive, the canyon, great visibility and many many critters (some which I have not see before in such masses). This was by far one of my favorite dives I have logged. It was the first time at a beach where I actually hit 104 for depth. To top it off there were things to see at every point of the dive.

I was very impressed with this dive site. The facilities the place has to offer are great especially for a beach location. They had restrooms close by, close parking, and showers. I would love to dive this site again.

During the surface interval we were greeted by some whales very close to the shoreline and a pod of dolphins. A few of us waited while others had to go get tanks refilled. We sat and tried to stay warm. I was even almost jealous of Arnauds dry suit. But with the sun shining and taking off a layer of clothing (the advice given) I warmed up.

When we went back in the water for the second dive, the pinnacles, the visibility wasn't as good but the marine life was still plenty. As we first dropped a huge ray was there to greet us and get up close and personal with Dave. There were also bunches of strawberry anemones which are always fun to see. The current was a bit strong and the swim a bit long but it is worth it for the amount of things you are able to see.

After diving we enjoyed an over hour lunch together as we learned about the different experiences of each others diving. And also some very interesting job descriptions ;)

I had a great time with this group and can't wait till next month to do it again.

I thought it was a great dive location. I also enjoted the incredibly beautiful, glassy, kelp-enriched bays on the drive up. I wish I pulled over and took some pictures so I could share them with you all. Of course those who dive this site again can see for themselves! I was amazed how fast it dropped off as well. I enjoyed both dives a lot but the 1st one was really fun. I hope the next site can be as fun! Of course the company was a pleasure as well. I hope to see you all on another Wrinkles dive!!

You should have seen the 5 or 6 ft breakers on those beaches today...

Boy Ana,

Am I jealous!!! Sounds like you all had a wonderful dive. Wish I could have been there. As it was, I am still dry docked. Ugh...ears can be a funny thing.

On another note, did Jamie find all of you? He called me around 8am or so, saying he was at Leo Carillo Beach. I told him the new location. He hadn't checked email or the board since Friday and did not know there was a change. Maybe in the future, we can get each other's number and have a phone tree for change in plans.

Take care,

Hi Jan,

Yes Jaime did find us. He was great company and I am glad he found us. It is my fault for not giving him my cell number. Usually most of the people who I dive with regualry have my cell number. I already apologized to him. =)

Ana

Sorry about your ear hopefully you can come on the next dive with us.
