I don't personally dive PZ+ or Suunto RGBM. My impression is that they are not terribly different in NDLs, however, they work very differently. PZ+ is likely to give longer NDLs in repetitive diving, particularly when more intense. Suunto RGBM is known to penalize for shorter SIs, ascent violations, and some profiles. I don't think this is true of PZ+.How does that compare to Suunto? Thanks for info
I would call both of these algorithms relatively conservative. I have been successfully diving DSAT for 16 years/a little under 1500 dives.
The price of the Aqua Lung i300 in this case is very low. I'm sure it would make a fine first computer. Personally, I would dive it over a Suunto. See post from @RayfromTX above. In my experience, it's not uncommon for divers who continue on to trade in a conservative first computer for something more liberal/flexible
