Would you buddy with me?

Would you dive with EuroBoy?

  • No offense, but I'd rather just dive alone/with somebody else

Oh, and NO SPEEDOS!!! :-) I think I wore my last pair when I was 14 or so. But in the words of Homer Simpson, from the episode when they all went to Brazil and his speedos kept riding up bis rear end: "Oh...I hope they're going somewhere good..."

Thanks again!

That's pretty funny! I would dive with you as long as you told me that clearing was a challenge, so I wouldn't be hanging out wondering what was wrong. Good communication with a buddy is so important. I will not dive with other divers who do NOT communicate with on the surface or under the water.

the only time I would say this is a show stopper would be on a fast drift dive when you "HAVE" to get down quickly or else you will find yourself alone. other than that I don't mind a slow decent.

no problem i would dive with you as long as you tell me first that you need some extra time its not a problem .only when you dont tell and i might think there was a problem i can wait for the slowest diver.

I would certainly dive with you. Good for you in discussing the issue before the dive. Issues come up all the time and we all are better equipped to handle them when we have the information.

Defiantly tell people about this. I've been diving with someone who must have a similar issue but didn't bother to tell me. I figured they were under weighted or not very comfortable since they took so long to descend and over all did not have the best dive since I was constantly checking on them and making sure they were ok. If they had just mentioned it in the beginning I would have been much more relaxed during the dive.

I can always use practice on controlling descents and ascents. As long as you eventually get down there, I'm good with it!

Adjust the plan to the divers, do not adjust the divers to the plan.

I'd much rather go slow than not go.

If work ever sends me out there I'll dive with you.

I'd dive with ya ! I'd be more worried with fast ascent than a slow descent. :D

I would also dive with you..slow ascents are better IMO...but as several have mentioned...you need to speak up about it prior to the dive. Just to let your buddy know what is going to happen. I also ascend slowly..I also, on occaison take a decongestant prior to diving Since my doc said take a decongestant - like a Sudafed...no worries makes the dive day go alot smoother.
