have been doing a fair amount of diving but for various reasons have not used it yet. I've been diving for about 10 years and would really like to start getting into tech diving.

I like what I have read about Suuntos new Vytec computer. Apart from being able to switch among multiple gasses underwater...when I start tech diving (analog SPG, tables, bottom timer) it seems the Vytec would make a great bottom timer and great back-up depth gauge/ascent monitor/profile recorder/etc. whereas my Cobra would most likely sit in my gear bag
1. (not sure, but imagine the tech instructors would frown on using it in gauge mode and would insist on a analog SPG (yes/no ?) ).

2.Would it make sense to sell the Cobra? I know some like to carry a back-up computer...How many computers should one carry on a dive? (money is a wee bit tight and an ufortunate consideration if not really necessary ).

3.If you do dive with multiple computers, is it better to use two different brands?

4. If a second computer, would it make more sense to sell the Cobra, get the Vytec and down the road use the money for something more advanced like a VH3?

I *really* appreciate your help...thank you very much!
