One of the highlights of visiting Bonaire or any of the Netherlands Antilles was the taste of Amstel Bright. You couldn't get it any other place and that made it special. That golden liquid that hit somewhere between Corona and Heaven.

Well - the Amstel Antillean Brewery is being dismanteled and its parts sold at auction.

What a disaster - no more Amstel Bright - heck - no more Amstel brewed with desalinated water. The Amstel Bright web page lists itself as "under construction."

Goodbye a major part of paradise. You will be missed.

Or you can fall back on that Venezuelan "Polar" we tried when we were in Bonaire. Only had one bottle mind before returning to Stripe.

You're kidding, they're dimantaling the brewery?!?!?!? I love that stuff!!! I havent been able to get it in the states, but man I miss it. Bright is my favorite beer.
