I know lots of people do it and it's fine, but just not my preference. I would, however, take the hopper flight from Cancun. That's an experience all by itself. :D

Oh, forgot to mention, flying to Coz through the US is a PAIN from a customs/security perspective, which I try to avoid if at all possible.
