Why threads closed to further replies ?

I had a thread closed to further replies and would like to know why, thank you.

As per title. Back in Oz. Need to keep busy. Am considering doing order and perhaps on a more regular basis. Next week I'll properly investigate shipping costs. They'll be what they are, once I get that info I'll post here and let folk decide if their need for parts is worth the cost of the...

I mark them as closed once orders have been taken so as to alert others that I'm no longer taking orders. My thinking, after I've done that only people related to the thread will read additional posts. It's easier for me to give general updates re delivery, back order etc in that thread as opposed to DM individuals.

If this is not the way it's supposed to be done or is breaking any TOS (?) please let me know and I'll change accordingly.

I'm sure your tactic is fine, it was me that did not understand.

We can always edit your thread to indicate "Sold", which is what closed is in for sale items.
