I addressd my comments to the NAUI cave curicullum versus that of GUE Cave curicullum, not the worth of the classess as taught. As we've said elsewhere 1000's of times, it's the instructor that makes the class. Also, NAUI doesn't teach everything needed by every diver as well...
The real thing, of course, concerning DIR is that one can call something DIR but it usually isn't...
Yes, but it's not very helpful to say one is better than the other w/out some kind of "because of ... and ..." at least it seems that way to me.
I have nothing against NAUI, and am taking one of their classes in Nov.
Thankfully GUE is small enough that I feel comfortable going to any of their cave or tech instructors for education.
Also, looking at a curriculum can be very misleading as I am sure a lot of cave programs have similar content, but can be taught in a variety of ways and have a variety of minimum standards to meet.
