One of the big problems throughout the non-industrialized world is this selective enforcement. The enforcement officers should be enforcing the law, whether they think there's a good reason for it or not.

And ignore the cash they might happen to be left on their desk...

I once came along an old postcard of Sabang and was shocked. It used to be an actual beach!!

Admittedly I was 7 years old, but alas, it's true. At 15 I had a holiday romance with a 16-year-old girl by the name of Aisa in Sabang. Alas she rebuffed my amateurish attempt to get "physical" so to speak in her uncle's coconut grove after a night at the disco.

Went back a year later and she'd married an expat and moved to Norway - go figure.

(all true BTW :D)
