Maybe we could start a list based on this topic?

1. Because they might learn something from it.
2. Because they value your opinion.
3. Because you might learn something from it.
4. Because it's to cold outside to dive.
5. Because it's my way or the highway:)
6. Because it's a good idea to promote good diving habits.
7. Because they haven't received the proper training.
8. ?
9. ?

8. Because I just wanna show off.

Because we do it deeper?

9. I'm tired of arguing with my wife, might as well argue with someone else

If it's a good question you can bet there's a certified (diver) lurker who can benefit.

If you catch the thread early it's a chance to post your answer evaluate it against those that will follow.

That was a rhetorical question and is very out of context in a post like this.
Perhaps you are confusing arguing with the advice given by an internet diver with advice given to new divers or those with limited experience.

10. It's not that I want them to admit they are wrong, I want them to admit that I"M RIGHT!

You should engage in the argument so that you can turn it into a discussion.
