I just can't see any advantage to one over a high quality reg sitting under my chin on a nice short hose. I see plenty of disadvantages though.
How fast can you disconnect the inflator hose wearing gloves with one of these things on there?
I hear how one can control their bouyancy with their inflator/deflator in their mouth but whenever I've seen some one try it I get to say "I told you so".
Why would you want a method of controlling bouyancy that's different in an emergency than any other time? Nothing like looking around on your shoulder for something that you have in your mouth. IMO, inflators belong in your hand not in your mouth. I know, I know...the shoulder pull dump..something else I'd rather not have.

There are a few things in your statement I can't get my head around. First off, - DIR AND GUE do not have a "fave manufaturer" or manufacturer.
