Here's what I'm wearing:
1.5mil Xcel Expedition full suit
7mil Scubapro Tech full suit
7mil Bare Arctic hooded vest
Last dives were over the weekend, temps 37F, max depth @50'....believe me, you know it when you get down past 45'...gets chilly.
All three suits are sized the same = ML
The vest is VERY tight when putting it on dry. Once wet it loosens up. I also think my quick dry method next to the boiler is shrinking the suits a bit so that isnt helping. In hindsight I would have gone with the L size vest. On the other hand, I have minimal leakage - like none - unless struggling to grab a lobstah.
Now, of course, I have since purchased a dry suit and am waiting to get that going. The real struggle over the winter is changing after the dives when the air temps are freezing and there is even the slightest breeze. Really looking forward to going dry!
Oh, yes I also have neo socks and they are a necessity!
