Who should we use for certification?

We're heading to Maui (Kaanapali) soon for a family trip and we'd like to get our 13 year old son certified. We're planning on getting the online material from PADI so he can have that part out out of the way before we get there. Who should we use? Scorpion Scuba provides daily equipment use in the pool where we're staying and would use the pool and the shore at our resort so that seems like the most convenient option. Any opinions? Thanks....

I am in the same situation with my daughter. Let me know who you use and your experience. She is going to do her pool dives here and the ow dives on Maui. We were thinking of using Lahaina Divers. I suggested shore dives but she is comfortable with boat entry.

My husband and I did our OW and AOW with Lahaina Divers and would recommend them STRONGLY for anyone wanting to get certified. You can even upgrade the course to include boat dives if you want, which would enable you to join your children on the boat if you wanted.

Tiny Bubbles Scuba at the Kaanapali Beach Club are really good and they will meet you where it is convenient for you if you can't make it to the resort.

A lot of people also reccomend Shaka Doug. He posts on this web site on occation and you can send him a private message from Scuba Board if you have questions.
