I saw a while ago a picture of a regulator that is actually a tank valve.. What companies make this reg/valve unit?

TDL markets an argon setup where the valve and regulator are one unit, but it's not for breathing.

Because it is made to be used for dry suits. Personally I wouldn't classify it with the other two.

Unless I've missed something, only the argon setup was made for dry suits and that specifically for inflating the suit. I don't see how that relates to my question as to why someone would want a set up that severly limits their ability to dive because they can't attach their regulator to another tank.

Its an argon regulator that meant to be used for just that so there would be no reason to want to remove it for another tank..

If your talking about using a reg like this for a breathing source then I dont think it would be good for that..

I think it's to be used for a regulator that will not change tanks very often. Such as a pony bottle. Other than that I don't know.

I agree if you have a pony reg that can be removed, you can also use it as a backup if your primary regulator misbehaves. You can also use another regulator if you pony does the same.
