Sent mine in (SmartCom) within a week of the recall and still waiting. I called a few weeks ago and they told me that since I got it at LeisurePro, that I was going to be punished and would not get it back until sometime in October. Jerks! Thought it was first come first serve! Someone mentioned a website to see where you are on the recall punishment list? Where is that at, looked at Scubapro and Uwatec and didn't see anything. Might reconsider a dealer next time, but as long as LeisurePro makes good on it's promise of servicing, Okay, I'll save the 40%.

I gave mine to my LDS about two months ago and Im still waiting an the end of this week Eric at Uwatec will be sick of hearing from me also.....Fireguy

Some of my friends have gotten theirs back already after a fairly short wait.

I told Uwatec to keep mine and give me my money back - DiveRite now has a chunk of my dive computer money - and a significantly smaller chunk at that, for a much better computer!!

I sent mine back around the beginning of August and am still waiting...They might be delaying mine because I got it at keyman prices, not full retail.

My LDS said yesterday that they are shipping, even for new orders. My buddy purchased a new one Thursday...I wonder who will get theirs first?

Also, for those that have theirs back..are they giving new computers back, or the same ones we sent in with different software?

They are indeed brand new computers.

Did anyone read an article online about using Smart Computers in the Micro Bubble mode and it not giving no deco information? I was told about the article and have been unable to find it online.

Thanks for your help,

Bill

I find that this is a very negative article about the Uwatec Smart Pro. Actually, i believe that the author _din't_ understand the idea behind the MB levels.
When you choose the MB level 1 or to 5, the remaining deco time information will disappear, because, Uwatec want you to accent for when the level stop appears on the screen.
But you still can make Deco dives! Because the Deco Stop will always appear.

Yegor,
Thanks for the quick reply to my posting. The article is both interesting and confusing as well. Kind of reminds me of the old "Things that make you go Hmmmm...." quote!

Dropped mine off at a LDS here in Thailand early August. Uwatec Asia had the LDS sat on many units till September before they shipped out a box to LDS to send in the return. So far, noone over here got a replacement yet (according to the LDS anyway).
I am not holding my breathe since Uwatec Asia is significantly slower at just about anything in comparison to Uwatec USA, Europe etc. 3-4 months for battery replacement etc.
I got my Smartcom while in the US and did not realize how bad Uwatec Asia support is!
