I'm preparing to mortgage the house (it's a small house) and buy a dry suit. I've got my eye on the White's Pro Dry. Does anyone have any experience, first- or second-hand, with them?

In particular, the 6mm crushed/compressed neoprene sounds like a lot of material. How flexible/comfortable is it at depth? It seems like it should be pretty durable: true or false? Any comments on warmth/weight of undergarments needed?

Any input would be appreciated.

Excellent suit. Dont like the SI Tech valves on it. I replaced the exhaust with a DUI valve. As for undergarments read my post in the undergarment thread. If I was to buy another suit I would buy a Kevlar coated suit, not that my suit leaks at all but the wrecks I dive and most people dive have sharp metal objects to squeeze through and I would feel a little better with something that is more abrasion resistant.

As I said, I'm leaning towards the Pro Dry. The LDS doesn't have any that I can fondle, so I can't decide if the 6mm semi-crushed/compressed neoprene will be too heavy and cumbersome.

He has a Polarflex II there, with 4mm bottom and quad-lam top. That thing seems to weigh a ton! Can't imagine the Pro Dry being any lighter. Does this create any problems for you?

Thanks again.
