Boy, you don't see that very often - here's the problem, here's what it looks like, here's how we'll fix it. Done.

Very up front and standing behind their product...I wish a lot of other manufacturers would do the same!

All the best, James

Well, I'm sad to give up the quick connect -- It was a nice gadget.

Me too, but I am glad that they came right out with it and passed on the info... I really liked that disconnect.

So I assume that we swap the old one with the dealer?

Thanks

Phil

Yes - Simply return your hose to the store that your drysuit was purchased at, and your dealer will supply a new one (pending availability). Dealers should contact Whites to recieve replacements.

Until the next dive,

Tyler

Thanks for the info Tyler. I must admit to being upset at giving up the quick connect. I really like that model.

Out of curiosity (if you don't mind discussing) just how many have failed?

Thanks,
Ltstanfo

I quite liked that hose as well - we may be bringing in a slightly different style very soon. I think it will be popular.

With regards to the number that have failed - we are not sure of an exact number at this time, and we won't know until they are all returned. What we can tell you is that regardless of the number out there, Whites takes your safety very seriously. If we see the same issue on more than a couple hoses (with a chance that more may be out there) and we deem it as a safety issue, you can bet we'll recall it.

For the record these are SiTech hoses...

Thanks,
Tyler

Thanks again for the info Tyler. I know Whites takes their products seriously, as well as the safety of the consumer... I've never doubted that. I was just curious as to how many failures had actually occurred up to this point but it's not a "must know".

Regards,
Ltstanfo
