Whitefish Point

I will be heading to Whitefish Point this afternoon for 4 day of diving. I think there is about 10 of us going.
We are planing on diving the Samuel Mather, John M. Osborn,
John B. Cowle and the Vienna. It should be some good diving weather permiting.

If you haven't seen it, be sure to visit the Museum there. It's really impressive.

& the microbrewery at Tehquamenon (sp?) Falls. Maybe the raspberry ale will be the current choice!

A group from Divers Mast here in Jackson will be there this weekend as well. Divemastertim from the board will be there, I am not sure which wrecks they are diving, but it sounded like it was going to be a technical trip.


I will be doing my open water with my son James this weekend. I will be at Whitestar this Sunday for a deep and multi level dives.

ahhhhh Mitten.... you must be pretty excited about your dives this weekend. Look up - it was Divemastertim that started this thread. He already knows he'll be there!

& yes, most of the wrecks listed are technical.

From what I saw a week or so ago, JP will do fine! He isn't goofy, he is a teen-ager.

I had a trip scheduled to dive the Mather a while back but we got blown out. I've been on each of the others and they're all great wrecks. and I need to get back up and dive them again.

What charter are you diving with?

We dove with scuba north out of travers city.
It is one of the best wrecks I have ever been on. There is good penetration and if I remember right all three masts were still standing with the rigging. It was a chilly 37 deg at depth.
