Does anyone know if they rent tanks at White Star? And what time to they start doing refills? I have to be out of town all weekend and am trying to decide if I should rent tanks on Friday, or if I can rent them there Sunday. Or I may just go buy my first tank. I'd rather rent if I can.

Thanks,

Andy

To the best of my knowledge, no, you cannot rent tanks at Whitestar, but you can get fills. There's a number posted somewhere on the shelter that contacts whoever it is that does fills up there.

Just go to your LDS Friday and get them if your a regular customer they should let you rent them all weekend from friday until monday when you get out of work for no extra charge at least mine does it that way.

That phone number doesn't seem to work. I got a message about it being changed but it didn't give me the new numbers.

Bonnie's cel phone 419-637-7911. She should answer. I will check first number as it is their house #.

We were at Whitestar on Sunday (Mother's Day), we got there late (after 2:00) and they packed up and left. Now I can't blame them there were only half a dozen cars at the time, and they weren't likely to get much more business.

So if you are only taking a single tank, you might want to check with them on what time they plan on closing up if it looks slow.

The sad part is I really wanted a candy bar after the first dive and had to wait until the trip home. Oh well.

Thanks everyone. It looks like I'll be renting a pair of tanks Friday afternoon from my LDS. They won't charge me for Friday so that's not too bad. Hope to meet some of you there.

Andy
