White Point Rock was dark, dirty and c-c-cold this morning. The wind that blew away the fog this morning made the sea choppy. It seemed to calm a bit as we headed west, so we decided on White Point again.
Frank Lukowski will be happy to know that he was correct. Once you begin looking for something specific, you find it everywhere. I found two red beard sponges, Clathria prolifera within ten feet of each other.
After remaining in the same area for 58 minutes we decided that we needed to get warm rather than make a second dive.

Love how you captured the whole face of the Clown Dorid, including its underside "hard to capture that angle", very detailed. The worm pic is stunning as well! He looks like one of the Megalomma spiraled types, but whats with the little trumpet/cup on top? Very cool group of Flabellina trilineatas. I'd be happy to finally see one, let alone a whole congregation. It really must be true once you identify something new and specifically search it out, you begin to see it everywhere. I swear, I didn't find one Clown Dorid at any of our local dive sites until I went to Santa Cruz Island and saw my first one. Now every PV shore dive I do I see at least one :) I was planning on doing a solo @ the Garden this morning but when I woke up to the rain and cold, I canceled.

The worm is a Serpula columbiana. The trilineatas were everywhere today. I saw about nine or ten and we only went across from the west to the east side.
