What about buying a Timex Helix D M ? You can get one new on eBay for $63
I contemplated buying one of these watches, but in the end I decided that I wouldn't trust it as my primary/only depth gauge and bottom timer. Just something about the manufacturer saying it is not to be used for SCUBA, the depth rating only being 50m (the Timex I did buy is 200m) and the fact that you can't press the buttons under water didn't sit right with me.

about the Suunto analogue depth gauge. It is
11/16" thick, the diameter is roughly 2 1/2". It has a screw on one side to zero it for altitude diving and an inlet on the other side for water to enter. The case is plastic but seems to be decently sturdy.
