I will break the surface noting that I have liked the DAMs (dive alert markers) made by Halcyon. We have several of them, a couple of Big DAMs, a DAM (oral only no OPV), and regular DAM (oral/BCD w/OPV). Like others they are well made and serviceable. The one without the OPV we deploy at the surface, the others at depth.
I think it worth having two the small is good for when ya want to signal the boat in mild conditions. The big is for when, well we are going to be here a while conditions.
