I have seen the 'spelling' done both ways in agency materials, certification plaques.....hmmmmm?

Divemaster

OR

Dive Master

:D

I would assume theres rules about how to split or not split words like that?
It would surprise me for about 2,5 seconds if theres differences between UK and US british with regards to it as well..

PADI refers to it as Divemaster.

My preference is one word with two capitals: DiveMaster
Similar to: ScubaBoard

It depends on how you're using it.
The PADI Divemaster course trains dive masters.
The NAUI Divemaster course trains dive masters.
..the assigned NOAA Divemaster prior to and following NOAA dive operations.

All the above from the respective organizations' manuals.

So as a sort of title by users familiar with the jargon it would be xxxx Divemaster where the xxxx represents the qualifying agency. But in plain english text it would be "dive master".

Yes

not that I am one, but I think one word, Divemaster is appropriate .. and I especially like DiveMaster like knotical posted

Divemaster

I always refer to it as Divemaster .... one word. Calling us Dive Master is kind of a pet peeve of mine.

Let's just call it Master of Diving. I am a Master Scuba Diver and Master of Diving, like the sound of it?
