I'm now a few years using the Rolock system and can report that there has been no leak failures over many dives. However, I still need somebody to help my put them on as I cannot turn the rings to the locked position on my own as they are still too tight. I can however, remove them on my own. At least this system is keeping my hands dry.

Try wiping off all of the lube

I never "lock" mine all the way to the dot, maybe 1/2 or 2/3... never had an issue or a leak in over 100 dives. I end up spinning the suit ring if I try to tighten anymore (which is fine as it'll spin right back, can even do it underwater to adjust the gloves).

This is what I do, lube up sparingly and then wipe of so there's just a little shine to them.
