Where did it go? I haven't been out to dive that site in a while (probably 14-16 months). I went and did a dive at Lanai Lookout (nice day, but lower viz) and decided to show my buddy another dive site in the area. When we got to Portlock the rope was gone. Just a anchor nail in the ground, but no rope. How long has this been gone? Does anybody know?

a while..

i use the alternate exit.. it has a ladder.

Where is that, in relation to where the rope was? Or is that the back of your boat?

lol.. it's a shore exit.

about 200 yds north of the "rope" terrace.
(check your shore-diving book for map)

swim just past "finger rock" (a thin black-rocky jetty)..
when you're waist deep.. remove fins.. stand up..
walk back toward the root corner of finger rock..
duck under the mangroves..
climb the 6-foot iron-ladder..
a set of cement stairs..
then, thru the public access to the street.. Hanapepe Loop..

haha.. he said "pepe" :D

Cool, thanks. Too bad I didn't know that exit the other day. The tide was incoming and the surface was FLAAAAAAAAAATTT.
