I did a 3 day dive trip to GC in May. Stayed at Compass Point and dove with OF. I have a trip report posted on this forum. If you are heading down for a short dive trip this is the place. Book with them and a car is included, accommodations right on site, short walk to the boat, they take care of everything. You also have the option of doing 2 tank am and 2 tank pm if you are really looking to get some bottom time. Your units also have kitchens so that can be a big plus and help save on costs. No night life to speak of on the east end but we found and many divers agree that after diving all day, after dinner there is usually no energy for staying out late. Depending upon arrival time and if you want to dive the first day and can't make the PM boat at OF, try heading to 7MB and go for a shore dive at Turtle Reef or Eden Rock or you probably could arrange a PM KW dive with a 7MB op and get that in before driving out to CP/OF.
...and Eagle Rays Bar abd Grill is now open on site

Compass Point/Ocean Frontiers has 7, 5, and 3 night packages that include accomodations, 2 tanks per day, and a car for the stay. They have single extra nights if the numbers don't work. I've been there twice for a week at a time. Compass Point is very comfortable, quite nice, OF may be the best operator I've used, the diving in the East End is fantastic. We stock up on food on the way from the airport to take advantage of the full kitchen for breakfast, lunch, some dinners. There are enough reasonably local restaurants for other nights. I've not had the opportunty to try Eagle Ray's yet, just opened this year.

If you want to be nearer to Georgetown and SMB but still want peace and quiet and excellent diving, look into Cobalt Coast/Divetech. I've also been there twice for a week at a time. They also have packages of various durations including accomodations, 2 boat dives per day or just shore, choice of meals from breakfast only to full AI. Unlimited shore diving at 2 good locations (Cobalt Coast and Lighthouse Point) is included. Divetech has some interesting specialty dives like the DPV dive from Cobalt Coast to Lighthouse Point and the rebreather experience. I prefer the North Wall diving but they also have the West, and some really good diving, should the weather dictate. You would need to rent a car at the airport to get around.

Many other fine places to stay, large number of excellent operators, how can you go wrong?

Good diving, Craig
