Where to buy used tanks?????

After reading the thread about buying used tanks, I want one or two. I am just looking to get some AL 80's with a valve. I do not want to spend more than $70 for everything including vip and hydro. Does anyone know a good place to get used tanks. What about a website that does gear trading. I already know about cavediver.net.

Your local dive shop may have used tanks, often at an annual sale where they turn over their rental gear.

Don't forget that steel tanks are usually cheaper after you factor in the savings from not needing a viz plus.

Yard sales. garage sales, flea markets, etc. If you live near any water, you'll find older tanks in the weirdest places...

...at the local dive shop, for $75.00. Tank used to belong to the owner of the shop who really doesn't dive any more because of some old injuries from Motorcycle Racing. The tank had just been hydro'd and inspected and he filled it for free. Seemed like a good deal to me.

If you are looking, for a used tank, I'd say watch the dive shops during the winter, when people tend to get rid of gear and make an offer.
