Just wondering where is a good place where I can buy some gear, like a mask in Phuket before I head out diving. Thanks.

Nearly all diveshops in Phuket will be able to sell you masks, snorkels and fins.

There are also a couple of large retail outlets like Aqua-Master in Karon, All For Diving and Warm Water Divers in Patong, and Siam Diving Enterprises in Ao Chalong.

A good place for custom made wetsuits is Hotwave in Ao Chalong.
