Hi all,

After the 3rd dive this week where I couldn't feel my hands at the end, I pulled the trigger on a Kubi system, but the only gloves the dealer had in stock were size large, and I suspect I need something much smaller (I typically wear men's XS or S gloves).

I've seen lots of good recommendations on older threads for Showa 720 gloves (or other nitrile gloves); the problem is I can't find anywhere locally or online that I can buy just a pair or two. I live in Canada, and lots of the industrial supply websites in the US won't ship here at a vaguely reasonable cost.

Does anyone have any suggestions for:
a) what gloves to get -- water temp here is about 9C/49F, so no absurdly cold, and I'm hoping I can get gloves that are as dexterous as my current 5mm neoprene;

b) where I can get said gloves

Thanks in advance

When deciding which Showa gloves I wanted to use, I ordered several free sample pairs from their website. This was several years ago so i have no idea if they still provide samples or not.

Home depot, if you can find them. Covid has all gloves hard to find.

Try Amazon. I take a medium myself and could never find the size I needed at local stores. There will be a size chart on the Showa website. Measure yourself and use it. Really helps. Don’t forget you’ll need to account for liners. I’m a small in regular gloves but had to size up due to liners.

They still provide them. I received a couple pair a few months ago.

I purchase spare SHOWA 720 gloves from vendors on ebay. Convenient and inexpensive source for gloves by the pair...I think I paid about $7.00/pair.

As others have noted, one can contact SHOWA and request sample pairs to check sizing. They sent me multiple suzes of multiple models that I requested, at no charge...I still have the original pair of 720s they sent me mounted and in use.
