Speaking as someone who launches at a ramp 4 or 5 days a week, I can say that most people who use ramps don't have a friggin' clue about etiquette. Not all, but most. You'd think if someone spends money on a boat, any size, they'd take the time to learn boat ramp etiquitte.

I frequent at least 5 different ramps in various cities in the San Francisco East Bay Area. Some are free, some as much as $15.00/use. It doesn't matter which ramp, too many boaters with too little experience often make for a frustrating ramp experience. And with the weather warming up, the fun is only beginning.fstbttms, if what you say is true at the ramp you use, I'd say maybe a sign explaining the rules of the ramp be posted at the place the ramp fee is collected.
Why not just move it for them?
Isn't the BW ramp owned by the Feds or is it only the jetty part? It's not a federal offense, so it's not the Coasties turf.
BTW, by comparing notes with someone who came in after I left,
they are there at least an hour and fifteen minutes.
