where is apo reef?

I am confused.

is Apo reef the one near dumaguete (around APO Island) or what? the web describes it as the reef near pandan island which is near mindoro.

*so confused (worst thing is, i suck at geography)*

Apo REEF is in Mindoro (between Mindoro and Busuanga, Palawan).
Apo ISLAND is in Dumaguete

i always wonder how these folks name the places. its not as if we ran out of words to choose from.

thanks, axua. i was browsing the pandan island resort site and found out one of the dive sites on apo reef is named Apo Island. (http://www.pandan.com/apo.php) a different island with the same name as dumaguete (again)?

Both sites should not be confused with Apo Lodge Motel downtown.....


Apo Reef and Apo Island will give you a great time....Apo Lodge Motel can only offer you short time...

the question i asked this was because i think i initially thought apo reef is around apo island. i should have googled it much earlier so i get confused much earlier and then get corrected much earlier!

have you guys tried apo reef already? is it for advanced divers or what?
