Where do you keep your knife/knives (when diving)?

yeah...loss for words there (who me?) I've picked up a blob of rusty metal, given it a whack and the outer crust broke off - in my hand was a Civil War era SCHENKEL shell, brass fuse inscribed H. SCHENKEL, 1863....small cannon balls act the same way. Anything that needs a good rap......

I have a large chrome thingy attached to the inside of my leg. It works good for banging on tanks. I have a pair of EMT shears in a shealth attached to the outside of my BC left side pocket. It works the best for cutting things. I think anyways.

I have a larger knife attached to my left leg (calf). But I generally only take that if I am in unknown territory. Otherwise I have my regulator knife, attached to my power inflator hose. Tiny but sharp and useful.

i no longer use a knife. i used to have a small (three inch blade) knife attached to
the outside of my left BC pocket.

now i have a small linecutter in the same place, and EMT shears inside my right BC pocket.

I also carry EMT shears clipped off in my left pocket to cut such things a SS wire which we find occassionally.

SS wire? What's that from?

lots of the wrecks off Jacksonville are littered by fishing line,
many of which have a steel "leader" that can be quite long.

That's why both of my knives are attached to me with lanyards. Even the one on my leg is hooked to the scabbard until i pull it out. Then i re-attach the lanyard to my wrist when i unsheath...i drop it or it comes loose, it stays with me.

Ain't just off Jacksonville...and half the time you can't even see the stuff. Something's got you, you can feel it...you know it's there, but finding it is a real B sometimes.

Two is a good number to have with you at all times, because if you ever need one, you are probably in a pickle, and it is therefore possible that you may drop one in the process of extricating yourself.

Good choice on getting two.

The leg-thing works ok for boat diving, but for walking in and out a sandy beach, it does not work too well, because sand tends to get trapped between the knife and scabbard, therefore then the knife gets stuck inside the scabbard.
