Where do you attach your whistle and how?

My whistle is on a small brass "key ring" and this ring is zip tied to my corrugated hose for my BC. . I have seen lots of divers with whistles that would require the agility of an olympic gymnast to actually use without removing their BC.

small carabiner attaching it to the top d-ring of my bc. its small and out of the way. I have a pair of sea snips I loop through the lower waist buckle of my BC as reccomended by my LDS.

Mine is rolled up in my DAN SMB:11: . But then again there is the dive alert on my inflator :14: .
