Dove two great solo dives yesterday in lake Grevelingen (salt water) in The Netherlands yesterday. Got some extra practice on fine tuning my trim in sidemount. Dove 46 and 53 minutes, 11 and 9 meters / 33 and 30 feet in 6 degrees C / 42 F water. Lot’s of nudibranches (or slugs) on the second dive.

Wow nice :thumb:

Went out to Vortex Springs yesterday. Too good of a day to pass up.
As usual there were a few classes going on, but I had the cave to myself.
85 min run time and really a fun dive. I plan to explore a little more next time and definitely will take some pictures.
Best way to start off the new year!

Did a great night dive in Lake Zug yesterday - viz was so-so but lots of fish.

First dive of 2023!

Half an hour in the lake to shake the cobwebs off and try out some new gear. First time diving with the pony bottle and aside from some snag issues, it really didn't get in my way. I think part of that is that I did a couple of gas swaps to it for practice and that undid all my streamlining. Still needs some improvement.

I swam out to the spot I planned to dive, dumped my BCD and then discovered I had neglected to put the lead back in said BCD. Oops. :narcosis: I guess better to be unable to sink than unable to surface. Buoyancy was rusty after 6 months on the hard and the lake was COLD, but I did it. Good to be back in the water, even if I am cold afterwords.

About 30 mins down, 2000 PSI start, 700 finish on the main tank, 2500 start and 2400 finish on the pony. 7mm wetsuit. Vis of 10-15 feet, max depth 37 FFW.
