Actually last Saturday but slow to edit pictures.
Witnessed a fight between giant Pacific octopus which resulted in one sitting on the wall contemplating life and allowing for some excellent photo opportunities.

Powder Plant Beach at Cherry Point.

Only the third time I have been in the water this year, which sucks. Fairly easy dive with a maximum depth of 24 feet and a run time of 40 mins. Saw one nudi and an anenomie I don't think I had seen before.

Just generally nice to be in the water.

Couple pictures from that last dive. Video hits tomorrow

Anyone know what that anenomie is? I don't think I have seen one of those before.

nice where is this ?

West Sooke BC. Nice shallow site which makes for a great DPV dive.
Lots of octopus dens and a very colourful juvenile wolf eel.

i like BC went 3 time to Whistler. Back in the days i was spending my summer time in Banff alberta.

did two sidemount dive this morning 45
min ish at 35 feet ish. My first dive was with my sidemount instructor it went so so the first few minutes i was positively buoyant due to lack of weight. Second dive was better that one was solo.

The ideal to go with my instructor on the first dive is to venture in new place and get familiar with the environment. On the second dive i did the first leg of the first dive (done with my instructor).

I am much towards the end of my diving season here maybe 1 or 3 days of diving left. I will have put about 30 dives this season witch is consistent with previous years assuming i dive only from june to november.

Be safe

Then I'm having a stare off with this thing about a metre long

Another creature then swims in to join the party

All in what seemed like a five minute creature fest, and a leopard shark and half a dozen shovel nose

And there were more

Man the ocean was full
