13th Nov., "Dan's Dock" at Willis Point. A large group of us gathered here, at the cushiest dive site on the Saanich Inlet, Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada. As I am Solo Cert, I can join my LDS' Sunday am drop in dive, and join the group, but dive solo. Saves me having to set up my dive plan with my safety contact. Splashing at 10:52 am, top 25' was quite nice, a solid 20' of vis. At around 45', it opened up to around 30' of vis, 107' was my deepest and vis was constant. I only went into deco obligation until I got to 30', then 20NDL. There was an incredible amount of Octo predation evidence, all throughout the dive, but no GPOs were found. Squat Lobsters were very abundant, above the wall crest. 9C was the water temp today, and a slight chop on the surface due to oncoming wind. Diving with a 100HP Faber with 3550 psi to start, 300 psi, ending. 30cu Catalina pony, 3000 psi start and end. I retrieved a bunch of old fishing line, a plastic bag, and an ali pole, probably from a boat canopy. A wonderful morning for a dive.

Nice relaxing night dive at Cove 2. Met up with a group and had minimal desire to buddy up and got my wish (chatting before and after is far better than diving with imo). 104 ft, 42 min and cold 50°. 119 3466 > 1434. Pony 3k start/end. Had a seal come by around 100 and silt everything up for me. Great dive other than the numb toes from diving wet.

@Boarderguy , I used to live in the Seattle area. Where is Cove 2, just so I can get some bearings?

Friday did one of my usual diving wet winter dives. Water was 43F. Did 17 minutes in 2 foot viz & major surge. Crawled out on the softball size rocks. Not one of my farvourite dives of all time....

Looks beautiful... And cold as ****. 45°F? That's cold! Nice dive though.
