I'm looking to buy some ZRC Cold Galv to refurbish a couple of old 72's to double up, but I can't seem to find anywhere to purchase it. Does anyone have any experience buying it up here, and know what distributors carry it?

You can buy it directly from ZRC in the states don't know about Canada. Get the Galvilite not the Cold Galvanize compound. It looks great and is hard as nails.

I thought the Galvilite was for repairing Hot Dip stuff? I'm planning on using this to clean up a painted tank with a few small spots of bad paint with minor surface rust.

Call Robert or Bruno at Sherwin Williams in Brampton. They can either get you the ZRC or recommend an equivalent substitute.

Niagara Paint off Burlington Street in Hamilton makes a cold galv product. They have a showroom that is open to the public.

Derwood, thanks for the tip, I go to school in Hamilton so that's an easy stop for me.

The difference is it looks very much like silvery new hot dip where as the Cold Galvanize is a ugly flat gray. Protection wise they are the same.

Sounds good, looks like I have a couple options. I have an email in to ZRC requesting a list of local distributors, hopefully they won't be too long to get back to me.
