I am going to Isla Mujeres the end of June for a wedding. I don't really know how the diving will be, but I'm wondering when the whale shark season begins? Anyone with any advice on dives for this area or info on the whale sharks is greatly appreciated!!

The place to go for whalesharks is Holbox. The season is June-September. I haven't been there, yet, but I have heard many people say that July and Aug are the best times. There is no diving with the whalesharks, just snorkeling. There are trips that run from Isla Mujeres, or you could stay a couple days on Holbox and go out with a local.
