I have seen the 130s listed a few places. Where is a good place to buy them? I have only seen the specs listed for the E8-149. Has anyone seen the 149s and know where I can get some?

Holy cow i didnt even realize PST made a E-8 149. That thing has to be a beast.

By the way there is a extreme shortage of the E series tanks till PST manufactures some more in the near future....hopefully

PST has never produced an E8-149, and I don't know if they have plans to. It was included on their E-Series spec sheets, but it's never seen the light of day.

Just as the E-130's are the LP104 at 3442; the E-149's were going to be the LP120's at 3442. For all intents and purposes... If you look at the specs. they aren't much heavier than the 104's per tank.
I agree with Chris, I don't ever think they'll materialize... and from someone that dives twin 120's there wouldn't be a very large demand for them; there is loads of gas in the LP120's

I talked with Pressed Steel International a few days ago and the the 130's were made but not in current production. They will be available again at the 1st of the year. The 149's were never made, and they said "we were unable to make them". I dont know if Pressed Steel is going to make them in the future. Dmreddog is right the 130s are the old low pressure 104s and the specs are very simmilar. The working pressure is 3442, which is the limit for yoke valve, so most are shipped with a DIN valve and an insert plug. This makes it easy to use DIN or yoke regs. I prefer DIN myself, but its good to know the tank valve is versitle. I still want to know of any shops or online stores that have the 130's in stock. Thanks

I'm going to step in right here, and ask that even though the previous poster mentioned max operating pressure of yoke regs, that we don't get into another argument about what the limits for yoke are. Been there, had that argument.

The PST E8-130s are definitley the cylinder of choice for deep/long duration tech dives, so what little amount of them PST makes is immediatley grabbed up by whoever sees them first. So, until they figure out how to get production up, there will be quite a waiting line for them.

hmm, there seem to be a sufficient quantity of E8-130s here in Ontario to satisfy the local divers. price is averaging $450 cdn.

They planned on the E8-149. I forgot why, but they weren't able to actually make them - I think it was something w/ one of their presses...a limitation on them or something (PST is only a few hours away - goings on w/ their business are considered local economy news for me...). The 149 was just a LP120 rated @ 3442, like others have said.

The E8-130's can be had - I have a pair, as does my future father in law. My LDS gets them on a fairly regular basis, but the demand is FAR outstripping the supply. They are a great tank - I love diving them.

About a month ago my buddy literally searched the country for an E8-130. He called every scuba dealer imaginable, and finally struck pay dirt at Lloyd Bailey Scuba in Florida. At that time they had about 6 left. Probably no more, but you might give them a try.
