Some posts just crack me up.
Must be the drugs these days.
I HATE THIS LEG THING.
Man.
I'm all about it could have been much worse. I am more thankful than I can fully convey that its not a whole lot worse. And I know a lot of people have been through a lot more trauma than this. OK. This is my whine, lets focus on this gimp. Thank you.
Went to the Dr. today. Took out the staples, said I'm progressing nicely. Told me the swelling will be around for a long time - maybe a year or more. Said I'd have almost complete mobility within 6 months.
Also said I can fly (business) within the next 3 - 4 weeks. Said I can drive next week (will work on that THIS weekend to be sure... in a big vacant lot some place.)
As to diving, he said to take it slow. Although the Tibia is 100% with the titanium rod, the Fibula still has 3 fractures that need to heal. My ankle and knee are the question marks right now. If I keep them flexible, and add a little more weight each week as I gimp around on the crutches, I could be back in the water by end of October.
We'll see.
Good news all. I'm just hating this sitting on my ace, doing exercises, eating, reading, etc. I'm an active person - hyperactive really. I miss drumming, diving, and fishing and stuff.
OK - whine is over.
Back to daytime freekin' TV. I think there's some Justine Bateman show on now wif her all laid up in a hospital bed. Looks interesting. She was hot once, right?
Ugh. I need a life.
