Thanks all...I will work to adjust it once again (DIR legal) this weekend and post my success/failure. Really appreciate the input.

Jon C:Well, I got a chance to play with the adjustment and, as it turns out, Meng-Tze had it right...I needed to loosen the opposite side of the harness to allow the whole thing to shift into place. It still slid a little...but this time on my RIGHT shoulder...meaning that there is hope to dial it in perfectly. So no chest strap, crossed straps or shoulder pads required.
Also, this should calm the perception that I was the "Hunch Back of Norte Dame" (spelling?).
Now, does anyone have any suggestion on solving my leather g-string diving thong problem...it seems to ride up when it gets wet...
Thanks for all your suggestions..."I am not an animal...."

Losing it. Its there for two reasons 1) To hook up a scooter and 2) hold the rig down when you are at the surface (of any vertical position). It doesn't need to be real tight.Jon C:Now, does anyone have any suggestion on solving my leather g-string diving thong problem...it seems to ride up when it gets wet...
