These independent agencies plowed through the individual links on the state department website. A very time consuming process to summarize the list, but it's not updated in real time.

According to this list, American can travel to only 9 countries. Which means that Americans are banned from 186 of 195 countries.

Almost all the Caribbean countries are open. Mexico, Dominican Republic and Costa Rica are the easiest ones to go to right now- no pre-travel Covid test required .
