I switch off between a drysuit and a wetsuit. I have found the best thing for me is to keep my head warm. So the first thing for me is to get a warm hat on. I have also am just recently trying a Surf-Fur (Surf_Fur Coat). I do a lot of ice diving in the winter months. I am hoping that this will provide added protection during the surface intervals as well as during line tending activities. Another nice feature is the ability to change clothes underneath it as many of my dive spots do not have bath houses to change in.

Pretty much what others have already posted.

Throw my Elmer Fudd hat on, it's a big fleece hat with ear muff sides...like the one Elmer Fudd wears. :D

Wear a boat parkas during SI.

Drink hot cocoa during SI.

Spend SI punching my buddy (who is diving dry) for talking me into coming out to dive wet in 44 degree water temps. :shakehead:

Fear not, fellow SBers, I am impatiently awaiting the arrival of my new DUI TLS350 Signature Series drysuit. I shiver no more!!!

Bath Robe for now.....the next step of this very elaborate plan is to buy a dry suit :D

So we did the dive, and I owe a HUGE thank you to everyone who replied!!

With both air and temp at 58, it was a cool day, and the water was crystal clear.

The winning combo:
- a warm hat
- Warm places for feet (comfy socks! and furry crocs!)
- Windbreaker
- Dry sweatshirt and "wet" sweatshirt
- Hot Cocoa! (GREAT suggestion!)
- Swished warm water sound in gloves, hood and boots before re-donning

Worked like a charm! And we were able to get two great dives in before the end of the season.
Thanks again!
