Cage fighting ring?!?
I was told that it will be some kind of oil recycling facility because the place that the marina uses now is an environmental mess but who knows.
Depends on which office you go to from what I could tell a few weeks ago - we'll see what happens Saturday or SundayYou apparently are not allowed to change the oil on the motors IN Fonatur anymore...
No - access fees are collected by APIQROO - the private side, expensive side is not having to get ID's for staff or pay for bracletsHeard a rumor (if anyone has better details please correct) that while Fonatur built the Marina (and screwed up the design) as part of a larger development project that extends up to Puerto Maya they had to give up half the marina for commercial and local boats in order secure the access strip of land that is now the entrance. The operation of that side of the marina is administered by APIQROO, but only the piers, not the roads and ramp. APIQROO collects the moorage fees which are reasonable on that side of the marina (heard that an operator who is parking on the Fonatur side of the marina and having to pay $700 a month for a slip).
I was told that Fonatur is arguing with APIQROO (most likely over money) and trying to make life hard on that side of the Marina. Not sure who is collecting the access fees for the Marina but I suspect it is Fonatur.
Suspect they are not there by choice but there because there are no more slips available on the poor side. Have you noticed that it appears that there are more boats in the old Caleta (mostly the pirate fleet) than before everyone was told they had to vacate to the new marina. At some point International Hotels will get the go ahead to ring it with condos and force them out, it will be a $h!t show.No - access fees are collected by APIQROO - the private side, expensive side is not having to get ID's for staff or pay for braclets
When you want to use the ramp, you pay the lady upstairs on the good side of the marina - when you pay for anything in the "poor" section of the marina, you pay API, the ramp is in the "poor" section but you still pay the other lady who I assume is Fonatur or what you are refering to as Fonatur
Scuba Life and Maple Leaf Scuba are in the "rich" side - they don't use braclets and pay their fees to a different person than all of us on the "poor" side....
Yes there are no slips available in the HOOD. The HAMPTONS, plenty available.Suspect they are not there by choice but there because there are no more slips available on the poor side. This is the way it goes. Make life hard on people who have no control of the situation and depend on those who pull the strings to cave in to the pressure. It seldom works and the people who are caught in the middle get no relief.I was told that Fonatur is arguing with APIQROO (most likely over money) and trying to make life hard on that side of the Marina.
