EDIT: How will weighting compare to an AL80?

Ok, so there's several sizes/capacities and a picture would be really helpful, but the tank is at the shop waiting to be tumbled and I don't have a picture of it.

Picked up a used LPS tank 3AA 2250 sold under the Scubapro name, it is about 3" shorter than an aluminum 80, just looking for a ballpark guess on the capacity in cubic feet.

That would be an old steel 72, look around for the origional hydro to see how long it has been in service.

A 72 is about 65cuft, like an AL80 is actually 77cuft.

Seem to remember it being late 70's manufacture. Last hydro was '97. If it passes hydro I should have it back in a week; cleaned, filled and sporting a new combination valve.

You might explicitly ask the to try to qualify it for the + rating. When filled by the book it means the difference between a 62 and 72 Cf fill.

The three previous hydros were + rated, I should remember to ask.

When I dive a St72 I can take 5lb's lead off my belt as opposed to a Catalina Al80. I would definately get the + if you can or just find a shop that will fill to 2450 regardless :eyebrow:
