Stayed at Iberostar and liked it but wondering if there is something better? Diving was great but food was BAD and beds were HARD. Prefer something adults only. Any recommendations?

WOW...that is an open ended question....what may be BEST for me...may not work at all for you.....what are you looking for in a resort other than adults only...give us a few more details and most of us are always happy to give you our opinions on the one or ones we like :eyebrow:

BTW almost all the beds in cozumel are hard...it is just part of the charm ;-)

Charm? Is that what it's called? I was pleased to see that Casa Mexicana is not charming, at least in that respect. ;)

Best hotel is the Presidente, best all inclusive is the Palace, second best all inclusive and also an adults only property is supposed to be the Wyndham Aura according to THEM. I have no idea if it's true though, and there were a lot of reviews that are very suspect so do your homework carefully re it. After that it's the Iberostar & Grand, and different people rate them differently but I preferred the Iberostar.
It really depends on how you rate the different features, distance to town, and of course the food. My bed at home is just as hard as those in Cozumel, so obviously I like a hard bed, and my tastes in food seem to be different than main stream American tastes, which is OK so I rarely recommend restaurants, but I do have many favorites on the island with many more to try.
Would you prefer a place in town so that you can walk everywhere? Or a resort that you seldom leave?
Photo tours of some are here, plus a good look at the beach in front of the Aura, which isn't all that nice below the waterline.

BEST?????
I stay alot at the Park Royal. It's an AI. I love the location. It is located just 5min walk from Villa Blanca, or a 3/4hr walk downtown.
The place is spotless. The food is fab. The atmosphere is pleasureable.
It is more hotel like that resort like in that your accomodations are a building with 9floors. Now there is a lovely garden setting in the middle of the buildings that have peacocks running around, it really is a nice ambience. The 'beach' is small but very clean. My wife likes to snorkel there. It certainly gives us what we want clean, good food, wonderful staff, easy access to the island. I dive with Scuba Mau and they are just down the street. You can be picked up at the pier there but there is a small charge for that usage. I hope you find something you like.
My wife did some videos of the place if you want to see them. Also cicopo has a great shot layout of many hotels on his photosite with Park Royal there.

I really don't consider SCC a resort but I'm betting that it's pretty close to adult only vs many of the other properties. The Park Royal is nice but rather family oriented, and the El Cozumelino is really aimed at families too, and so are the Wyndham & the Allegro. There is a section of the Wyndham that's adult only but you're surrounded by family rentals (condos) and the regular Wyndham guests.

Yeah, you get a lot of cheerleaders on these threads, but the answers depends on what one wants really.

:eyebrow: I was so glad that Blue Angel got softer ones after Wilma. Hate hard beds.
