Home Depot's web site.

That is the one. There are still selling them in the Home Depots here.

Black and decker work mate holds 350 pounds as a table, 125 pounds as a hand truck, would probably benefit from having a solid top added.. and possibly a cross bar on the folding leg.. it looks like it would clear.. that would give it more of a 'snow shoe' for softer sand.. runs about 75 bucks

this one is 17 bucks.. don't know if the retailer is reputable or not... just did a web search for 'folding work bench'

Harbour freight has a folding (picnic) bench and table set.... *might* hold two sets of gear.. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=91143

Hope that helps,
take care,

I think it's the one Sharky mentioned. Might end up with that instead.

Yep, that's the one. I bolted a couple of brass suicide clips to the side of the top. One one I put a carabiner to which I clip my mask, computer, and compass. One the other one I hang a 2" ss ring on which I hang my lights, line cutters, etc. It's a convenient way to organize everything and keep it off the ground since there is no lower shelf on it.

It doesn't look as cool as the DIR guys at Brownstone; but hey, we can start a new trend! :D

Ed's got them at the SS. The Stanley's are gone now, but he located these as a pretty good alternative. I think they're going for about 40 bucks.

Was there a couple of weeks ago. Remember seeing divers with something that ressembled the horses used by carpenters but with a flat top large enough to set your gear on it. They were black and could be folded. What's it called and where to get one?

They are Stanley Tool Benches. Talk to Ed Hayes next time you are down there. He bought a ton of them before they stopped being made and he might be able to set you up. They are incredibly useful, even if just to put your stuff on before and after loading the boat or when carpooling. I have mine permanently set up in my basement as a tool bench/SCUBA repair bench.
